I am fierce.
Be fierce. Be a friend and protector of all things smaller than you. Do you know what it means to ‘look out for’ someone? You look out for a younger brother or sister when you go places; keeping an eye on them so that they don’t get lost or hurt. You watch them. You are bigger than them, and you can make sure that they return home to mom and dad ok.
Be fierce for anyone that needs your help. If you see a small lost pet, bird or insect that is in trouble, see if you can safely assist. Truly, snapping turtles bite, and wild animals that are injured will bite you as well. Check with an adult that can help you.
If you see another kid that is crying or list, or someone that is lonely, reach out a hand or say a kind word. You are fierce, and you are strong. Your help may be more valuable than you can ever know.
Keep safe yourself, but always look out for others. No one wants to be bullied or picked on. No one should be alone, with no friends. If you have friends, invite the lonely kid to have lunch with you and your friends. In God’s eyes, if you help anyone, it’s the same thing as if you did it for Jesus.
Matthew 25:40 ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
