Horror Movie in a Dark Fantasy World

It is a story-driven stop-motion action/horror movie set in a dark fantasy world. A comet brings a sinister parasite that transforms all beings into horrific monsters. As chaos ensues, the local city sends a delegation to the Temple of Light paladins, to ask them to find and destroy this evil. But is it even possible…? The D&D campaign brought into life!

Film Features: “The Dead Need No Chairs” is a gripping journey into a world of dark fantasy, where the struggle for survival becomes a true test for the heroes, and even the bravest may fall victim to evil.

Stopmotion fans, Geeks, Low fantast and medieval / middle ages enthusiasts, knights, sword duel enjoyers!

Genres: action, horror with a sprinkles of humor here and there. This movie is definitely worth a try for stop-motion fans, geeks, low fantast and medieval / middle ages enthusiasts, knights, sword duel enjoyers. Those who like classical monsters, undead, zombies, skeletons and fantasy from the ’80s and ’90s might also find this movie interesting. It’s kind of like “The Thing” in the middle ages. Or if you, like me, in love with medieval-themed games like D&D (Dungeons and Dragons), as well as classic video-games like Diablo, Castlevania, and Dark Souls, you will definitely appreciate this movie as well. It’s like a DnD campaign presented in stop motion!

⚔️👾 An English voiceover has been prepared, along with English and Russian subtitles, so viewers from many corners of the world can watch the movie!

Production Notes: This project was primarily created by a single person and took about a year and a half to complete. The story is entirely original and any direct resemblance are purely coincidental. It took hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of hand-shot frames to create. Although I admit that I’ve used the newest technologies to improve the smoothness, the original video is filmed at 12 fps, and one day I may post a 12 fps version. Main sources of inspiration were: Mad God, The Thing, Vordum Price of Death and Diablo 1 trailer. Full credits presented is in the end of the video.
